Help I don't know what to do...
I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support.
I have found myself at a crossroad in my life. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions…It would be so nice if God would just give us the book “Our Own Life.” We just have to trust him…He knows where we are going and He knows what we are going through and He knows how we are going to get there.
Psalm 48:14 (Amplified Bible)
14For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide [even] until death.
How great is that…He will guide us until death? It has taken me a lot of heart aches to get to the trust that He will guide us until death.
If we don’t believe we want receive that guidance. We have to pray and look for the answers.
Even though we don’t know what to do when we have a decision to make, we have to believe with all our heart, the one who does know is on our side. God is always on our side…I know he wants joy and happiness for us. We just mess up our joy and happiness sometimes by setting out on our own to figure out our life without him.
When we seek him in good times we want have as many bad times. I am trying, with all that I have, to continue my relationship with our father God in the good times. He has gotten me though so many bad times.
Big thinkers have trouble enjoying life and have a harder time being happy. If we could, truly, just turn everything over to God. We could go about our life and just let God work it all out.
Isaiah 42:16 (Amplified Bible)
16And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness into light before them and make uneven places into a plain. These things I have determined to do [for them]; and I will not leave them forsaken.
It doesn’t matter what is going on with us. We must believe we are in the middle of Gods will or plan.
Realize the freedom from not having to know.
We don’t know the answer to what is going on…God keeps us in a place of not knowing a certain amount of things. Trust requires a certain amount of unanswered questions in our life.
There is no such thing as trust without unanswered questions.
All the things we have right now in our life that we don’t have the answer to are the things we have to trust God with.
What would we need Him for, if there was nothing to trust Him for? God is always going to keep us in a place where we have to trust Him.
Proverbs 3:5-8 (Amplified Bible)
5Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
7Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.
We are not smart enough to run our own lives.
Sometimes when God is going to use us greatly…He allows us to go through some things so we can understand what other people are going through.
Sometimes there are things that God didn’t put on us but He didn’t remove for a period of time…Because He wants us to experience what other people are going through…so we can have compassion and minister to them out of our heart of compassion not out of our head knowledge.
Satan asks…what are you going to do?
Don’t let not knowing pressure you.
Psalm 32:8 (Amplified Bible)
8I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
Romans 8:28 (Contemporary English Version)
28We know that God is always at work for the good of everyone who loves him. They are the ones God has chosen for his purpose,
I don’t know what to do but I know that God knows. I trust God to guide me...
This post is taken from a Joyce Myers study "Hold On...I Don't Know What To Do". Her thoughts have inspired me and I have added some of my thoughts.

Don't Worry Be Happy...
4 Always be joyful because you belong to the Lord. I will say it again. Be joyful. 5 Let everyone know how gentle you are. The Lord is coming soon.
6 Don't worry about anything. Instead, tell God about everything. Ask and pray. Give thanks to him. 7 Then God's peace will watch over your hearts and your minds because you belong to Christ Jesus. God's peace can never be completely understood.
8 Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things. 9 Do what you have learned or received or heard from me. Follow my example. The God who gives peace will be with you.
The words of the Bible...what more do we need?
Don't worry be happy...tell it all to the Lord...and he will give you peace in your heart.
Times are tough right now for a lot of people...I have seen the worry in peoples eyes.
- Money is short
- Retirement savings are being lost
- Prices are on the rise
- Wages and benefits are being cut
- Jobs are being cut
- Companies are going out of business
- Foreclosures on peoples homes
- and much more...
In times like these, its hard to just give it all to the Lord. We as humans try to fix everything ourselves. Even though this is a hard concept to believe in. We must. We can't fix this mess on our on. Our entire county needs the Lords help. We as Christians must pray and petition Gods help.
I truly believe God helps and provides for us. I do believe we have to see and respond to the opportunities he provides. I don't expect him to send us food (manna) from heaven, to feed on, in our day. I do believe he provides unexplainable opportunities and gifts. We must pray and ask for his help and guidance. When prayers are answered we must give God the thanks and the glory.
I try my best to live by this. I seek joy and peace in my life.
A personal example of mine...I remember once when Lee was a baby...Ikey and I had made the decision for me to quit my job and stay home and be a full time mother to Lee. We really had to live on a low budget. Ikey was a new teacher at the time. His salary was low. One month we had a lot of extra expenses. I remember setting in my rocker one day rocking Lee. As I rocked I prayed. I prayed that some how we could stretch our money to finish out the month. As I rocked the phone rung. When I answered the phone it was my OB doctors office telling me that we had over paid $200.00 and that she was sending us a check. The timing could not have been better. I have to give God thanks and the glory for the timing of the call.
Read in Exodus 16 about the Lord Giving Israel food (manna) from heaven every day.

The Concept of a Pre-Forgiving Heart...
Forgiving and receiving forgiveness are gifts we can give each other.
Forgiving little things like some one forgetting lunch, is easy. It is the big things that get us.
I am trying to practice a pre-forgiving heart now. I know at some time in my life I will be disappointed and hurt on a deep level by someone I love again. I have learned from the era of my ways. I am ready now... I pray I will never let the power of not forgiving ever take me over again. This is my prayer.
Mark 11:26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your sins.
Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.Luke 17:4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him.
Some of my favorite stories about myself...if you can't laugh at yourself, don't laugh at others.
Once Ikey, my husband, gave me a birthday card and I started reading it a loud to my family...
The first page read, "Some men have their riches through their bank accounts."
The next page read, "Some men have their riches through their real estate."
The card had several pages of how men have their riches...
I read the last page to say, "Some men have their riches through their princess brides...
I thought that was so great that he thought of me as a princess...
I proceeded to say things like..."Well, the Princess is going to go get something to eat," and "The princess is going to go to the bathroom," and "The princess is going to bed."
Well, I did go to bed and when I woke up the next morning, I sat up and said, "It's time for the princess to get up."
Ikey then replied, I let you be a princess for a day, but the word on the card was priceless."
I said, "I am going to check the card."
He said, "I already have.
He did think I was priceless... :)
When my 40th birthday came around, he did plan me a princess birthday party. That was pretty great! I received a crown, a bracelet and lots of princess items. To this day I still receive gifts with princess on them. That's OK by me.
The Princess Goes To Jail
Another crazy story about me...was when I forgot to pay my speeding ticket... When I went to pay it, their was a warrant out for my arrest...they arrested me! I got the full treatment. It is a long and crazy story, I will be glad to share. It is funny now...but it wasn't then. Especially not to Ikey. I was photographed, and everything...I got the full treatment. I cried the entire time I was there. I guess that was my version of the princess goes to jail.

Spirit Within Us...
What it means to me...I have never really understood the thought of the Holy Spirit within me until the last few years.
My thoughts on the subject...
- I believe that God's Spirit lives within me. I believe that my conseience, or that little voice I sometimes hear, is the Holy Spirit living in me and trying to speak to me.
- I believe that when I get random thoughts...out of the blue...it is the Holy Spirit speaking to me and trying to guide me. I don't always listen and follow at first...I sometimes fight it...I usually come around to do what is right.
- I Love God...I love talking to him and letting him work in my life...I sometimes fear him when I am not walking the correct path as I feared my earthly father when I was young.
- When I am trying to make a decision. I really try to be aware of my surounding, my thoughts and what people are saying to me. I try to let the Spirit within me and around me help me make decisions.
- I believe the Holy Spirit surrounds us with love. God is a loving God. We are his children that he created for his on joy. I am not afraid of the Holy Spirt, I welcome it. It is a comfort to me.
- Sometimes when I am praying, I ask God to let me feel him. I sometimes feel something in my heart that I like to think of as the spirt dwelling in me.
Psalm 51: 10-12
Create in me a clean heart, O God. And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation. And uphold me with Your generous Spirit.
Exodus 31: 3
"And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship."
Isaiah 11:2
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might. The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
Ezekiel 36:27-28
"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordiances. And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be you God."
